October 2015 Board Minutes

The meeting convened at 988 Dove Meadow at 7:00 pm. Salena Morphew, Josh Morphew, Stacey Whitt, Sue Tracey, Joe Tracey, and Sandi Mercier were in attendance. Matt Ward was absent. Also in attendance were Rich Barrett and Linda Grier.

I. Front Entrance Landscaping: The dead hollies and the rose bushes have been removed and the stone wall has been power washed. Linda Grier has researched and reported good choices for replacement plants. It was decided by the Board to purchase Baby Gem boxwoods, wax leaf ligustrum, and yellow, lavender, and white pansies. The total cost, with compost, should be $500-650.

Rich Barrett discussed his plan to replace the worn out drip irrigation system at a total cost of no more than $830. The schedule is as follows:

* Rake back the existing mulch to remove old drip lines 10/19 , 9:00am

* Replace the irrigation system 10/20-24

* Planting day (need volunteers) 10/25, 8:00am

II. Fence: The south side of fence is near completion. Originally, the entire fence was to be completed by the end of October, but progress appears to be slow. Sandi will try to reach Jason for a completion date since Matt is out of town.

NOTE: 10/16 update- Jason will finish capping fence & then begin staining by next week. Once he begins the north side, he expects 20 days to complete (mid-Nov?)

III. Newsletter: Newsletter has been distributed by Sue and block captains. We are still in need of block captains for Mesquite and Teal.

IV. Miscellaneous: The Board will not meet in December. At the first of January the dues letter will be sent to the residents along with a ballot for nominating new board members.
