The Keller Wire - May 2016
Neighbors,
What follows is an update taken from "The Keller Wire" by Armin Mizani of the Keller City Council:
Recent and Upcoming Developments
1. Development Proposal on North Main Street (Hwy 377) and Mt. Gilead: On May 3rd, the Keller City Council will be voting on a 60 acre (approximate) development proposal. The proposal seeks to amend the current zoning designation of "Commercial" to allow for 20 acres of Patio Homes and keep 40 acres as Commercial. The project will be located on the northeast corner of North Main Street (Hwy 377) and Mt. Gilead. Per the Planning and Zoning meeting, the developer seeks to build 54 patio homes on approximately 4,000 sq. ft. lots. Regarding the commercial development, the developer anticipates more office and retail type businesses. They also would like to possibly bring in some sort of anchor store, however, as of today they have been unable to secure any commitment aside a day care and dental office. If you would like to learn more about the proposal, you can watch the April 25th P&Z meeting by clicking the following link. The item begins right around the 01:40 mark: http://cityofkeller.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=6&clip_id=936 Lastly, to better serve you, I have put out a survey on social media polling Keller residents what they think of this proposal.
